4 Things You Didn't Know About Java Momma
As a self-care enthusiast who loves coffee, I’m always looking for high quality beans and unique flavors.
A couple of things that draw me to Java Momma are their commitment to delivering a quality product and the company’s sassy sense of humor. (I mean, have you peeped some of the flavor names?)
Here are 3 things about Java Momma that you may not be aware of:
- Java Momma only uses beans sourced from growers who are certified fair trade by one of several internationally recognized organizations. Fair trade is a movement whose stated goal is to help producers in developing countries achieve better trading conditions and to promote sustainable farming.
- All Java Momma Coffee Beans are air roasted. Why is this important? Air roasted coffee tastes better than traditional drum roasted coffee. Traditional roasting methods can leave the beans tasting like the acid and bitter tars that build up on the surface of the roaster. Air roasting blows away the outer chaff of the bean before it can get charred, leaving a cleaner and much less bitter flavor to the bean.
- Java Momma’s delicious, flavored coffees do not contain any sugars, dairy or artificial sweeteners. The flavored coffees are made with a proprietary blend of natural and artificial ingredients that have been laboratory certified to contain no gluten or allergens. While the coffee beans themselves are gluten free, Java Momma does process some items that do contain gluten. Therefore, the facility itself cannot be certified gluten free.
- All Java Momma coffee is roasted to order. There is no warehouse filled with bags of coffee ready to be packed and shipped out. It can take 7-10 business days for your order to ship, but this ensures you get the absolute freshest, most flavorful coffee possible.
I’d love to hear what you think! Which of these things do you find the most interesting? What do you love about Java Momma?
